Vanguard House exists because of a simple, unshakable belief: that every veteran, every mother, and every child deserves a safe place to call home and a community to walk beside them as they rebuild their lives. We are a Christian-based housing ministry dedicated to serving those who have sacrificed, survived, and pressed forward through hardship — veterans returning from service, women escaping difficult circumstances, children in need of stability, and families searching for a fresh start. Our name reflects our calling: a vanguard is the first line, the ones who go ahead to prepare the way. That is our mission — to go before our neighbors in need, clearing a path toward stability, dignity, and renewed purpose. Rooted in the belief that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted" (Psalm 34:18), Vanguard House exists to be His hands and feet in our community. We provide more than a roof — we provide a home filled with compassion, accountability, and hope. Every resident is treated with the dignity they deserve as a beloved child of God, regardless of the road that brought them to our door.
